NachtKalender
The curated overview of the best parties happening this weekend!
Each week this newsletter will bring you a curated selection of the best parties happening in and around Amsterdam, along with insider tips, new club openings, and other fun stuff I come across. Hopefully this NachtKalender will help you guide your way through the weekend.
The ** means it’s a party I’d definitely recommend going to!
Party of the day
Garage Noord - RP Boo, Bahati, Jo FLM, Toff Youth, Tamacoochies, Brechtjeluna, Keynu
Footwork legend RP Boo plays all night long on the Garage floor. Boo is often cited at one of the pioneers of the genre Footwork, the fast, repetitive, rhythmically syncopated music and dance style that’s a grandchild of Chicago house, getto house with elements of hip hop, together with other legends like DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, and DJ Clent!
Very exciting he’s playing at Garage tonight, and given how rarely he performs in Europe, this is a proper rare one. If you need any more proof of his legendary status, his next stop is Panorama Bar next week. On top of that, the lineup is stacked with brilliant DJs - Jo FLM, Toff Youth, and more!

Party of the day
Laak - Rewire w/ OK Williams, Buttechno, Torus, nena, born in flamed, nono gigsta, dim garden
First of all, a huge shout-out to Rewirem which I have no hesitation calling the festival of the year. If you haven’t got a ticket yet, I’d strongly recommend grabbing one and going for at least a day. This incredible music festival in my hometown names itself as the international festival of adventurous music, and it truly lives up to that name. It features a wonderfully wide range of artists, each bringing their own unique strand of adventurism. Think names like Fine, Smerz, James K, Malibu, Jespfur and I’d be remiss not to mention all my favourite DJs in the evening programme: Helmond Lang, DirtyDms, Jasmin, Mika Oki, Yb3L, and many more!
But the DJ I’m most excited about, someone I haven’t seen in ages, is OK Williams at Laak. And Rewire describes her so perfectly that I’ll just quote them directly:
Through her high-energy and bassy club sets, the London-based DJ OK Williams has carved out a distinct name for herself in the global underground dance scene. Her recent Resident Advisor mix showcases her extensive knowledge of 90s and early 00s techno and prog house, but her reputation as a genre-traversing selector means that someone on the dancefloor for one of her sets can expect anything from UK funky and electro, to gqom and batida, to kuduro, jungle, Jersey club, amapiano, and drum and bass. Her cult radio shows on NTS have garnered her a loyal following, while her idiosyncratic sound has led to appearances at festivals across the world and has made her a regular at Nowadays, New York. Rewire happily brings OK Williams to the festival for a set at Laak in the early hours of Sunday morning.
